Jordan Feliz and Matthew West sing out to the Lord (VIDEO)

It took me a long time to surrender my life to the Lord completely. Although I grew up in a Christian home, I didn't completely follow the Lord until much later in life. I always remember praying and having faith from a young age, but life took a sharp downturn when I divorced my husband, struggled through a lengthy legal battle, and repeatedly made decisions that were in the opposite direction of God’s plan for me.

It was just a few years ago when I began to earnestly seek and search as God placed a desire in my heart to grow in relationship with Him. I eventually got connected to New Hope Community Church and my life changed completely as I continued on a journey of seeking the Lord with new friends. I joined a community group at New Hope and then the prayer team as well, where I continue to see God work in so many ways. He definitely meets us where we are at - no matter what obstacles we face.

We all struggle with different things - it took time for me to heal from my divorce and the regret of past decisions that were not honouring to God. The good news is that the Lord takes the mess of your life and then makes it the message. As Paul writes in Corinthians, we can be completely devoted to the Lord as a single person. We can be forgiven, focus on the Lord and live a life that honours the Lord whether we are single or married.

Our father in heaven is loving and merciful. He is always holding onto us, even if we are not holding onto Him. His Grace is a gift. He loves you and will never leave you. When you return to the Lord, He restores.
