Where there is no vision, the people perish.

- Proverbs 29:18

My campaign slogan, Vote4Vision, reflects my belief that our city needs new council leaders who have a long-term vision for London. I want to move Ward 4 and London forward by encouraging more start-up opportunities. Through cooperation, council can make our city more attractive to new business and significantly lower our high unemployment rate.

Building bridges through constructive discussion is how I've been able to successfully raise my daughter, be a supportive husband, son and loyal friend. Political cliques and partisanship are distractions that will leave a terrible legacy for our youth.

These same youth are the engine that will generate a brighter future. Mentoring programs for at-risk youth in Ward 4 will be instrumental in reversing the vicious cycle many of these young people experience.

I also want to improve the socio-economic status of London's downtown core. Revitalizing our city's hub will encourage more people to work, study, raise their family or enjoy a relaxing vacation in the Forest City.

Thank God, I've been blessed with a fruitful career and consider the part-time councillor's salary to be more than sufficient. Besides, asking for a raise wouldn't be right considering our high unemployment rate and the fact that many people are struggling to make ends meet.

Taxes should be kept as low as possible, but if there is a deficit a modest tax increase of 1% over a 2-year period may be required to support infrastructure needs.

My colleagues can attest to the level of integrity with which I strive to live my life. I always stand up for what I believe in: a morality of concern that seeks to balance infinite compassion with essential justice.

October 27 is our day to restore vision to London City Council!
