Atlanta Brave’s shortstop, Dansby Swanson, was quick to acknowledge God’s hand and plan on the recent victory the team had on national TV. Swanson helped his team win and was interviewed by Fox TV after game 4. He was quick to point out that he knew that “God always has a plan.” He knew that everything he experienced-detours, challenges, sudden changes were all part of His plan.

He was originally part of the Arizona Diamondbacks but was traded to Atlanta Braves. He was confused and could not understand why it happened. Swanson had trusted God amid doubts and questions. He trusted His sovereignty over his life and knew that He knows what’s best for him.

After experiencing the team’s victory, everything made sense to him. He went on to explain that this change also enabled him to spend more time with his family and allowed him to meet Mallory Pugh, whom he has been dating for some time now. During the time of the interview, Atlanta Braves was just one win away from being the World Series Champions.

“I’m just so thankful to be here. I really can’t say it enough. Being traded over here — at the time, I didn’t understand it. But God’s always got a plan. And if I’ve learned one thing is having faith in that plan will never fail you. And it’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to me.”

As of this writing, Atlanta Braves has officially won the World Series 2021. They defeated the Houston Astros. This was the first time they’ve won the World Series since 1995. Truly, God is a God of surprises! He knows what’s best for everyone even though, there are unexpected twists and turns along the way. One just needs to hand Him over the steering wheel and let Him do the driving.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9
