Multi-Award Winning Movie Tells True Story Of Kenyan Hero And Founder Of Orphan Support Charity, Dr. Charles Mully

Focus on the Family Canada and Mully Children’s Family Canada will present a special nation-wide two-night theatrical event on October 4th and 12th, 2017, with the release of Mully; an award-winning feature-length film.

Having won 8 awards (and been nominated for another 2) at film festivals across North America, as well as the Angel of Hope award from World Vision Canada, the 80-minute documentary will be released in 67 theatres. This special showing will offer Canadians a chance to be inspired by this true story of a man who grew up on the streets himself, before working his way to millionaire status, and was willing to sacrifice all he had built up in order to change the world, one street child at a time.

Mully depicts the life of Dr. Charles Mully, a Kenyan man whose success left him seeking true value and meaning in life. On the troubled streets of his country, Mully finds tremendous meaning in rescuing and redeeming the lives of abandoned orphan children, welcoming them into his family and giving them a new (or perhaps their first) sense of hope. Mully’s actions were noble and admirable, but came at a price, as he made decisions and followed his call against the recommendations and heeding of his family and community; but risking everything turned out to be exactly what he, and the 12,000 children impacted by his legacy (so far), needed.

Focus on the Family Canada president Terence Rolston affirms the powerful message of Mully and the immeasurable value of children’s lives: “We believe that, just as we saw with the strong response to The Drop Box, this film will inspire Canadians to step out of their comfort zones and explore how God will use their willing hearts to impact those in need around them.”

In 1989, “Daddy Mully” founded Mully Children’s Family in Kenya, a charity devoted to “saving children’s lives” by meeting the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of orphaned children and vulnerable mothers. Mully Children’s Family Canada work of MCF Kenya. Mully, directed by Scott Haze, is raising awareness of #THEWORLDSLARGESTFAMILY and the inspiring impact that one person, with faith, vision, and daily surrender, can have on the hope and future of the world around them.

Mully will shown at SilverCity London Cinemas (1680 Richmond Street London) on October 4th and October 12th.
